Important Notice: A $5.00 late fee will be added to all bills not paid by the 10th of each month. A $45.00 delinquency fee will be charged for all bills paid after 4:00 PM on the 18th of each month. Services will be disconnected if bill is not paid in full by 4:00 PM on the 18th of the month.

Incorporated in 1844, Union Springs, Alabama, is a historic Black Belt town formerly part of Creek Indian territory, known for its 27,000 springs and Antebellum cotton prosperity. It became the Bullock County seat in 1866, earned fame as the "Field Trial Capital of the World" in the 1870s, and is recognized for its preserved historic architecture and cultural heritage.

Origin: Settled in the 1830s after Creek Indian removal, the town was named for the 27 springs emerging from the nearby Chunnenuggee Ridge.
